Following his early career as a Police Officer, Peter gained his BA Law Degree from Durham University and moved into marine mutual insurance. After moving to London he spent twelve years with the UK P&I Club, the biggest of the marine liability mutuals, which is managed by Marine Response. Latterly he headed the Club's team responsible for "people claims" and remains a vocal contributor on employer liability, passenger transport, occupational disease and other related topics in the industry. He is a Member of both the International Institute of Risk & Safety Managers and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

After an active career in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, Patrick spent several years in the offshore supply sector before qualifying as a solicitor with a major UK marine firm. He went on to join a leading marine mutual insurer and during this time did notable work in helping several passenger ship operators devise their emergency response plans. From the late 1990s Patrick worked independently as a claims and emergency response consultant to the marine industry, working on several major casualties and coordinating litigation defence worldwide. An accredited Mediator, Patrick is also a Member of the Law Society and the Nautical Institute.

Stephen joined TMCM in 2008 and has helped to lead the development of the business in all key areas. He heads the company’s crew medical operations and the Bluemed integrated marine medical product, and is responsible for building and servicing a number of key client relationships. Having spent several years with a major P&I insurer prior to joining TMCM, Stephen is still heavily involved in complex claims handling and resolution. He holds a BSc in Maritime Studies and an MA in Geopolitics, and was appointed Director in 2013.

Stephen has over thirty years shipping experience which started in the dry bulk sector. Ten years ago he moved onto the commercial desk of a British shipowner dealing with a wide variety of matters including charter party, bill of lading and cargo issues. He was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in 2002 and more recently read for a degree in Maritime Law, followed by a Master's degree in International Trade Law at Northumbria University.

Having reached managerial level at a major global insurer, Bryan moved into shipping to become responsible for the handling and negotiation of complex, high-value property and liability claims for a large US tanker operator. Bryan joined MR in 2011 and specialises in operational support and case management for our energy and passenger clients, as well as casualty response and claims investigation.

Having worked with several of the UK’s largest insurers, Gary qualified as a paralegal with a leading Newcastle law firm and went on to work with a major marine insurer, specialising in liability claims in the shipping and logistics sectors.

Howard gained an LLB in Law, followed by an LLM in E-commerce and International Banking Law. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 2008 and as a Solicitor Advocate (Civil Higher Rights Qualification) in 2010 Howard is instructed by P&I Clubs and commercial insurers, concentrating on marine casualties, injuries/fatalities and regulatory matters including MCA and HSE prosecutions. He also advises the fishing and yacht sectors in actions involving the MMO, MCA, MAIB, Defra and EA.
A keen sailor, surfer & volunteer crew for the Disabled Sailing Association, he has completed the RYA / MCA Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore (Theory) and New Entrant Fishing Qualifications, Safety at Sea and First Aid courses.
